Document Details : Title: Full-Time Pastoral Ministers and Diocesan Governance Author(s): PAGÉ, Roch Journal: Louvain Studies Volume: 26 Issue: 2 Date: summer 2001 Pages: 166-179 DOI: 10.2143/LS.26.2.909 Abstract : It is indeed a great privilege and honour for me to be part of the 'Monsignor W. Onclin Chair 2001' activities, and I wish to thank most heartily Professor Rik Torfs, Dean of the Faculty of Canon Law, and the authorities of the Catholic University of Leuven for their kind invitation and most gracious hospitality.* For a number of years now, I have been aware of the activities of the Onclin Chair and have appreciated the annual publications. I must admit, though, that I never dreamed that one day I would be here as an invited guest. Furthermore, it is a particular honour for me to be able to share this week with my friend and colleague of many years, Father James Coriden. The programme you have developed is an outstanding example of inter-institutional cooperation and it can readily serve as a model for others. You have certainly found an appropriate way to honour the memory of one of the most outstanding canonists of our time, Monsignor William Onclin and deserve congratulations for your untiring efforts to promote collaboration and the sharing of ideas. |
