Du temps du mythe au mythe du temps, l’A. montre comment le temps et le mythe trouvent leur racine commune dans un logos qui constitue la manifestation universelle, extériorisée et déployée, de l’Intellect dans l’Âme. The aim of this study is to understand the interaction, in the thought of Plotinus, between a dialectical practice of myth – conceived as a philosophical discourse which manifests by a genealogical and temporal language non-engendered and perpetual beings (III 5[50],9) – and an interpretation of Plato’s doctrine of time as an “image of eternity”, which brings in a conception of time as “life of the Soul”, an idea which Plotinus sets out by having recourse, precisely, to a genealogical myth (III 7[45], 11). From the time of myth to the myth of time the A. shows how time and myth find their common root in a logos which constitutes the universal, exteriorised and unfolded manifestation of the Intellect in the Soul.
