Van Ostaijen and Burssens are categorized as „modernist” poets, Minne as a more traditional one. Some authors (Boon, De Haes, Dangin, Van Berlaer-Hellemans, Jooris, T’Sjoen) have suggested that this dichotomy is wrong, and that Minne was in some ways a modern poet as well. This essay tries to figure out what and how the relationships between these poets were, and on which terms they can be seen as „modern”. |
