Ite missa est is a positive command. It excludes any tendency towards inertia. It challenges all participants to stand up and act for Christ in the world around oneself. It does not mean go until we meet again without any practical undertaking. It does no simply mean go, and continue business as usual. It does not mean go and rest. It rather means go, react and act; go, imitate what Christ did and continue from where he stopped.
