Secondly the author discusses the text of Muḥammad al-Ghazālī itself, comparing it with the book of the so-called “crusader-writer”. Finally the author focuses on this polemic war itself, which played in the Egyptian press, and on its consequences, mostly based on personal documents of “al-kātib aṣ-ṣalībī” and on interviews with his family in Cairo.
