Journal: Studia Iranica Volume: 33 Issue: 1 Date: 2004 Pages: 7-30 DOI: 10.2143/SI.33.1.563192 Abstract : The continuation of the excavations at Bandiân, Dargaz brought to light several rooms behind the four-columned hall. One of them has four niches and bears in the center an altar, a table resting on a pillar shaped into a hourglass. The base is a three-stepped plinth. In an adjacent room, a series of large compartimented chest made of plaster with several openings. It is hypotheticaly seen as ostodān / ostotheques. Another room, a circular structure, is possibly a barešnum-gāh. The date of the building in the 5th cent. AD rests upon the stucco bas-reliefs which depict a victory of the Sasanians over the Huns. La poursuite de la fouille du complexe de Bandiān, Dargaz, a révélé plusieurs salles en arrière du grand hall tétrastyle. L'une d'elles, à quatre niches, contient au centre un autel, une table portée par un pilier en forme de sablier, reposant sur un socle à trois degrés. Dans une salle voisine un grand coffre compartimenté en plâtre, pourvus de plusieurs ouvertures est interprété, à titre d'hypothèse, comme des ostodān / ostothèques. Une autre salle, de plan circulaire pourrait être un bareshnum-gāh. La datation du monument au Ve s. se fonde sur les stucs représentant une victoire sassanide sur les Huns. |
