L'enquête est limitée à la philologie, à l'histoire et à l'anthropologie. This paper aims at showing that the study of hinduism, considered both as a religious and as a social structure, is characterized, in French indology, by an epistemological tension regarding the status conferred to indigenous knowledge and to the historicity of the indian world. The enquiry is restricted to philology, history and anthropology. |
