Abstract :
The majority of Muslims have understood the verses 3:19, 85; 5:3 of the Qur'an in a manner which leads them to conclude that their way, the way of the Prophet Muhammad, is the one and only way to God, and others are not. But in our modern and pluralistic age, on the other hand, we know that attempts to do away with a religion through aggressive mission or da'wah strategies have failed, and the arrogant and triumphalist rule of one religion over other religions is nearly dead. Instead, all over the world, there is a growing awareness that adherents of different religions must come together in peaceful co-existence and in mutual respect and readiness for dialogue.
