Abstract :
The author gives an historical overview of the Church-State relations in Ethiopia. In particular, he mentions the role of the Orthodox Church to stop Islam from conquering the country and the relation of this same church with Haile Selassie. Finally he discusses the definition of religion and legislation on religion in the People's Republic.
