Abstract :
The subject of this paper is a handwritten glossary in Mandai, Arabic, Latin, Turkish and Persian. The text is anonymous and undated, but probably written by Matteo di San Guiseppe, an Italian Carmelite, in the mid 17th century. The Carmelite polyglot printing office in Rome who made this text, was one of the most active multilingual publishing houses in the whole of Italy.
