Author(s): DAMLUJI, Salma Samar
Journal: ARAM Periodical
Volume: 11 Date: 1999-2000
The author is currently working on a research project on architecture of the United Arab Emirates, taking into account the original vernacular fabric through the traditional forms of building and shelter that existed in the area. The research examines the town plan studies adopted and implemented for the major city centres, documenting the phases of growth and change within the immediate urban fabric of centres and the relationship of this development with the towns and settlements of the periphery.
