Previous scholarship on this manuscript has failed to notice that a total of five pages are missing from the manuscript, and that, as a result of this, seven songs are transmitted as fragments only (of these seven, only two are known from other sources). On the basis of this discovery we can establish the total number of vernacular songs in the manuscript to be 68. |
