Greek printed books. Fragment 1: 1 fol., Xth-XIth cent., extract from the Life of the martyr Eleutherios in the Georgian translation from the metaphrastic Greek text by David Tbeli. The text is edited and compared to the other extant witnesses, a.o. Tbilisi H-1347 and A-90. Fragment 2: extract from the Life of Gregory the Great in the abridged version of the Synaxarion of the Great Church of Constantinople (BHG 720-721f), translated in Georgian by George the Athonite in 1042-1044. The text is edited and compared to the other extant witnesses. The Saint-Sabas fragment could be part of the codex Jerusalem, Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, iber. 45 (early XIIIth cent.). Finally, the paper presents the short (6 pages) codex, a XIXth cent. prayer book with colophon. |
