Document Details : Title: Due rhyta sovraddipinti da Ginosa (Ta) Author(s): TROTTA, Filippo Journal: BABESCH Volume: 99 Date: 2024 Pages: 91-101 DOI: 10.2143/BAB.99.0.3293139 Abstract : This paper focuses on the analysis of two Apulian rhyta, found in 2005 in a semi-chamber tomb in Ginosa (Taranto). They have not yet formed the subject of a detailed and in-depth study. Both finds, datable between the end of the 4th and the beginning of the 3rd century BC, are decorated with the overpainting technique. This is a peculiarity that rarely is applied to this vase shape – normally painted using the red-figure technique – and therefore found in very few specimens only. |
