Document Details : Title: L'Ordo Evangeliorum pasquale della città santa Subtitle: Oltre il Lezionario Armeno: la testimonianza della Chiesa di Milano Author(s): ALZATI, Cesare Journal: Revue des Études Arméniennes Volume: 41 Date: 2022 Pages: 431-450 DOI: 10.2143/REA.41.0.3291896 Abstract : The Armenian Lectionary (Jérusalem 121), published by Athanase Renoux, accurately documents the liturgical order of the Church of Jerusalem in the first part of the fifth century. With reference to the Triduum Sacrum, the pericopes in lectio continua of the Gospel of Matthew, which still characterize the rite of the Church of Milan in those days, repeat the Jerusalem model of a more ancient phase, in which the Church of the Holy City already owned the sacred buildings connected to the Anastasis, but had not yet developed the stational rites in the night following the Eucharistic celebration in Coena Domini, rites documented by Egeria towards the end of the fourth century. |
