Au-delà d’échanges plutôt musclés, le dialogue permet d’entrer dans le monde de la réforme liturgique, avec ses débats, ses doutes, ses espoirs, et surtout de découvrir le travail des experts qui aboutit au premier Ordo révisé: le Pontificale romanum de 1968. The author presents two debates which opposed Bernard Botte and Louis Bouyer during 1966. The first concerns the interpretation of the anaphora of the Apostolic Tradition and the meaning to be given to certain formulas of the Testamentum Domini. The other concerned the ancient prayer of consecration of the bishops in the Verona Sacramentary. Should the prayer of the Apostolic Tradition, which seems to be richer and whose terms are closer to chapter III of Lumen gentium, be substituted for it or not? Beyond the rather heated exchanges, the dialogue allows us to enter the world of liturgical reform, with its debates, doubts and hopes, and above all to discover the work of the experts which led to the first revised Ordo: the Pontificale romanum of 1968. |
