Language is the place of an unsurpassable antinomy insofar as it is both fracture and suture, communication and separation, economy and unconditionality, explicit and inexpressible; 3. It is only by assuming these antinomies that one can reveal how dwelling opens the possibility for an experience of hospitality. These hypotheses are supported by a succession of readings of a text by Paul Ricoeur entitled 'Architecture et narrativité', by excerpts of Franz Rosenzweig on language as analyzed by Gérard Bensussan, by some considerations of Emmanuel Levinas on 'Dire' and 'Dit' and by Jacques Derrida’s thoughts on hospitality. |
