Abstract :
This paper presents two unpublished tablets that probably come from the kingdom of Larsa. These Akkadian incantations share a common theme: scorpion bite. One of them offers a variation on the well-documented formula of '(The Moon god) Sin’s little finger', which was bitten. The other is more creative and lyrical; it connects the scorpion’s attack to a brick wall, its habitat, which is itself cursed.
