Il étudie en particulier la manière dont certaines des approches finkiennes de Husserl, et notamment l’idée d’une «phénoménologie de la phénoménologie», sont à la fois reprises et déplacées dans l’ouvrage majeur de Trần Đức Thảo Phénoménologie et matérialisme dialectique (1951). Il commence par revenir sur les documents attestant de l’intérêt de Trần Đức Thảo pour l’œuvre de Fink, avant de s’intéresser aux projets philosophiques des deux auteurs, en se concentrant sur les rapports entre la Sixième méditation cartésienne et Phénoménologie et matérialisme dialectique: d’abord au niveau de leur interprétation d’ensemble de la pensée de Husserl, puis en se focalisant sur la manière dont ils cherchent chacun à mettre en œuvre une forme de radicalisation de la réduction phénoménologique husserlienne, et enfin, en s’intéressant à la manière dont ils amènent la phénoménologie à transgresser ses propres limites. Il entend ainsi œuvrer à une meilleure compréhension des rapports entre Trần Đức Thảo et la phénoménologie, et par là même à donner une place à Trần Đức Thảo dans la phénoménologie française, non seulement en raison de son rôle historique de passeur et de diffuseur de la pensée de Husserl, mais aussi plus fondamentalement en tant qu’option phénoménologique à part entière. The article aims to bring to light how it came about that Trần Đức Thảo was one of the intermediaries through whom Eugen Fink exercised an influence on French post-war phenomenology. In particular it studies the way in which some of Fink’s approaches to Husserl, and in particular the idea of a «phenomenology of phenomenology», are both taken over (adopted) and shifted in Trần Đức Thảo’s major work Phenomenology and Dialectical Materialism (1951). The article starts by revisiting the documents that show that Trần Đức Thảo was interested in Fink’s work, before taking an interest in the philosophical projects of the two authors, concentrating on the relations between Sixth Cartesian Meditation and Phenomenology and Dialectical Materialism: first, on the level of their overall interpretation of Husserl’s thought, then by focussing on the way in which they each seek to implement a kind of radicalisation of Husserl’s phenomenological reduction, and finally by taking an interest in the way they lead phenomenology to overstep its own limits. Thus the article seeks to work towards a better understanding of the relations between Trần Đức Thảo and phenomenology and in this way to give Trần Đức Thảo a place in French phenomenology, not just because of his historic role of transmitter and disseminator of Husserl’s thought, but also and more fundamentally as a phenomenological option in his own right. |
