Bruno Latour le soutient dans Face à Gaïa. Dans cet article, j’examine la position de Bruno Latour en le confrontant à des auteurs qui ont rattaché notre attitude face au monde à une source religieuse, tout particulièrement Hans Jonas, Eric Voegelin et Jan Assmann. Dans une seconde partie, j’analyse les raisons pour lesquelles Bruno Latour en appelle à une époque «postnature», et je soutiens contre cette thèse, en me plaçant dans l’optique de Hans Jonas, la capacité du concept de nature à retisser des attachements à la Terre. Are the sources of scepticism towards the world, even of climate scepticism, religious? This view is maintained by Bruno Latour in Facing Gaia. In this article I examine the position of Bruno Latour by comparing him with authors who have related our attitude towards the world to a religious source, particularly Hans Jonas, Eric Voegelin and Jan Assmann. In part two I analyse the reasons why Bruno Latour calls for a «postnatural» era, and, placing myself in the perspective of Hans Jonas, I maintain against this thesis the capacity of the concept of nature to reestablish attachments to the Earth. |
