Die ghetiden is a Middle Dutch text modelled after the liturgical hours of Mary Magdalen. It shows a vernacular text strongly rooted in the Latin tradition. Furthermore, the similarities and differences of the text in comparison to four other Middle Dutch versions of the saint’s hours are highlighted. |
