A 55-year-old man with a red ear
We describe a case of relapsing polychondritis in a patient presenting with the antiphospholipid syndrome. Relapsing polychondritis is an uncommon, chronic disorder of the cartilage that is characterized by recurrent episodes of inflammation of the cartilage of various tissues of the body. Almost every organ can be affected by the inflammatory reaction.
The present case is an example of the rare association between antiphospholipid syndrome and relapsing polychondritis.
