Abstract :
This article contains an edition of Die ghetiden van den love gods (‘The Hours of God’s Praise’) according to MS. Antwerp, Museum Plantin-Moretus, M.14.12 and MS. Leiden, Universiteitsbibliotheek, Ltk. 288. Die ghetiden van den love gods is a Middle Dutch text modelled after the liturgical hours. It was probably written in Delft in Holland before c. 1490. The article contains a structural and thematic analysis of the text. A structural analysis points out the liturgical elements of the text. The thematic analysis shows that becoming worthy of praising God is an important theme next to the praise of God.
