The first reading favours the Old Testament background of the passages combined in the quotation, while the other one focuses on the importance of the narrative context in which Mark places it. After justifying Mk 1:2-4 delimitation, the essay develops an original intertextual and intratextual reading of Mk 1:2-3 quotation and its link with the Baptist’s ministry, as described in Mk 1:4. Only the synergy between intertextuality and narration allows to highlight the meanings that Mark intends to evoke in the presentation of John and of his ministry. Les chercheurs ont présenté, comme alternatives entre elles, deux manières de lire Mc 1,2-3. Une première lecture considère plus le background vétérotestamentaire des textes combinés dans la citation, pendant que l’autre attribue une importance majeure au contexte narratif dans lequel Marc l’insère. Après avoir justifié la délimitation de Mc 1,2-4, l’étude développe une lecture intertextuelle et intratextuelle originale de la citation de Mc 1,2-3 et son lien avec le ministère du Baptiste, présenté en Mc 1,4. Seule la synergie entre intertextualité et narration permet de mettre en évidence les sens que Marc entend évoquer dans la présentation de Jean et de son ministère. |
