Though the Ottoman imperial linguistic and literary paradigm still heavily relied on the classical Persian models, it had already started developing features that were typically and uniquely Ottoman, features we do not find either in Persian or in any other Persianate literary tradition. One of these unique elements of the classical poetic tradition is the semantic field of cannabis, a typically Ottoman phenomenon which the present paper aims at exploring briefly. La littérature ottomane est une littérature dérivée; c’est à la suite d’une longue période d’expérimentation qu’à la fin du XVe siècle elle trouva enfin sa propre voix et prit conscience d’elle-même. Quoique le paradigme linguistique et littéraire impérial ottoman reposât fortement sur les modèles persans classiques, des caractéristiques proprement ottomanes avaient commencé à se développer, qu’on ne trouve dans aucune autre tradition littéraire persane ou persianisante. Un de ces éléments particuliers de la tradition poétique classique est le champ sémantique du cannabis, phénomène typiquement ottoman qu’on s’efforce d’analyser brièvement dans le présent article. |
