Celles-ci débutent par un texte où le propriétaire du monument demande à un dieu de veiller sur la fin de son existence en faisant valoir des détails de sa vie passée propres à l’inciter à lui donner satisfaction. Les inscriptions se terminent par un appel aux prêtres composé d’une façon assez singulière où le personnage sollicite la récitation de souhaits pour sa destinée posthume. La somme des particularités rencontrées dans ces textes laisse penser qu’ils ont été inspirés, sinon conçus, par Horirâa lui-même. Publication of a fragmentary saite statue belonging to the famous Horiraa, director of the antechamber. The base is covered with an inscription, original in its form as well as in its content. The beginning of the text deals with the owner’s request to a god to take care of the end of his worldly existence enhancing certain details of his past life which might urge the god to grant it satisfaction. The inscription ends with an appeal, composed in an unusual manner in which the character asks the priests to recite prayers wishing him well in his posthumous life. The numerous peculiarities of these texts suggest that they were inspired, or even devised, by Horiraa himself. |
