Khodr’s approach to this religion, with which Christians in the Middle East have been confronted since the 7th century, not only testifies for theological innovation, but also reveals the intimate link between ‘good’ theology and context. The present paper explores the major features of this approach, focusing on its contextual dimension. Special attention is devoted to Khodr’s understanding of Jesus crucified as realizing the very nature of Islam. |
