Abstract :

This article broaches the subject of formation in liturgy from a systematic perspective. It shows that to educate a liturgist is not only to train someone who celebrates but also, and above all, as Pierre-Marie Gy O.P. said, to train a theologian. Because the liturgy is first and foremost the work of God, the worshiping of Jesus Christ and his Mystery, in the Holy Spirit, it constitutes a Trinitarian action and is therefore intrinsically theological. The author argues that the celebrated mystery is the source of systematic conceptualizations of it and explores the pertinence of several philosophical (particularly phenomenological and metaphysical) and theological (onto-theological) approaches to account for the interaction and correlation between liturgical action and the structuration of theological reflection.
