Celle-ci constitue la matrice originelle à partir de laquelle toute pensée rationnelle se déploie. L’ancrage symbolique de l’activité théorique a d’ores et déjà été démontré pour la philosophie et la science. Le présent travail prolonge l’interrogation quant au champ de la philosophie des sciences. Trois études de cas sont proposées, portant sur La formation de l’esprit scientifique (Bachelard, 1938), Éclaircissements (Serres, 1992) et La connaissance de la connaissance (Morin, 1986). En se référant à la classification isotopique des images, les œuvres s’inscrivent dans une «dominante» symbolique spécifique: schizomorphe chez Bachelard, mystique chez Serres, synthétique chez Morin. Au final, chacune des trois constellations imaginaires est apparue comme susceptible d’inspirer une philosophie des sciences particulière. Elles se constituent en répertoires de représentations ontologiques structurantes pour l’étude rationnelle des sciences. In The Anthropological Structures of the Imaginary Durand (1968) maintains the «fundamental» character of the function of the imagination. It constitutes the original matrix on the basis of which all rational thought is deployed. The symbolic anchorage of theoretical activity has already been shown for philosophy and science. This article continues the inquiry in the field of the philosophy of the sciences. Three cases will be studied, on The Formation of the Scientific Mind (Bachelard, French original 1938), Eclaircissements (Michel Serres, 1992), and La connaissance de la connaissance (Edgar Morin, 1986). By referring to the isotopic classification of images, these works belong to a specific symbolic «dominant»: schizomorphic in Bachelard, mystical in Serres, synthetic in Morin. In the end each of the three imaginary constellations turns out to be capable of inspiring its own philosophy of science. They constitute themselves in reportories of structuring ontological representations for the rational study of the sciences. |
