This mystery refers to God’s plan for humanity and remains secret and inaccessible to human reason. But being different from the absurd and the problematic, this mystery prompts thinking: the greater the mystery, the more reason. And all theology precisely digs the humble amazement at the mystery through subtle belief and firm accord. An analysis of the mutual influence and the incessant inadequacy that de Lubac establishes between Mystery and Mystique has allowed to identify the main features that define Christian reality and the design that the Jesuit theologian conceived of Christian mysticism. The latter deeply inspires the work of the Lyon theologian. It is one of the marks of Christian mystery to imply both paradox and mediation, of which liturgy is one of the privileged expressions. The dialectical relationship between the mystery of the Church and the mystery of the Eucharist allows the author to rediscover the authentic meaning of the diptych 'The Church makes the Eucharist ... the Eucharist makes the Church'. But does the Eucharist continue to make the Church in the context of secularization? That remains an open question. La théologie lubacienne se déploie sous le signe du Mystère. Ce Mystère se rapporte au dessein de Dieu sur l’humanité et demeure secret et inaccessible à la raison humaine. Mais distingué de l’absurde et du problématique, il donne à penser: plus il y a de mystère, plus il y a de raison. Et toute la théologie oeuvre justement à creuser dans la précision de la croyance et dans la fermeté de l’adhésion, l’humble étonnement devant le Mystère. L’analyse des rapports de fécondation mutuelle et d’inadéquation incessante qu’établit de Lubac entre Mystère et Mystique, a permis de dégager les traits majeurs qui définissent la réalité chrétienne et la conception lubacienne de la mystique chrétienne. Celle-ci entretient des rapports d’inspiration avec certaines oeuvres du théologien lyonnais. C’est une des marques du Mystère chrétien que d’accuser les traits du paradoxe et de la médiation dont la liturgie est l’un des lieux privilégiés. L’articulation dialectique entre le mystère de l’Église et le mystère de l’Eucharistie, permet à l’auteur de retrouver le sens authentique du dyptique: «L’Église fait l’Eucharistie … l’Eucharistie fait l’Église». Mais l’eucharistie continue-t-elle à faire l’Église dans le contexte actuel de pluralisme, de sécularisation et de laïcisation à outrance? |
