Frans Jespers explores Vroom’s typology of religion, while John D’Arcy May looks back on his pioneering work in interreligious relations. Robert Schreiter reminisces on Vroom’s work as editor for Studies in Interreligious Dialogue and the series Currents of Encounter, and Frans Wijsen discusses the collaboration between himself and Vroom on a number of projects. Henry Jansen recounts Vroom’s influence as his mentor and friend on his way of thinking. All contributors to this article combine both professional and personal elements in their appreciation of this scholar. |
