The Catholic Church has also been affected by that. The facts seem to show that the origin of this problem lies not outside the Church but it has been touched off by its own concern for the loss of power, the lack of believers and an alleged moral crisis. Since there is a gulf between Christian thinking and today’s society, a dialogue is increasingly essential. 'Historical intelligence', on the analogy of Xavier Zubiris 'sentient intelligence' as a hermeneutical instrument, will help us to more deeply analyze the situation. This category will lead us to discover other possible ways to be and to act in the current global context. Therefore this 'historical intelligence' requires a deep review of the reality. Three important aspects of the Church are analyzed: Its discourse about the 'sacred' and the 'profane', its socio-anthropological function as religion, and some of the essential elements of its message. That way, we will realise that the Church needs to be grounded in the realities of contemporary society, that our religion is not responding to the needs of today’s men and women and also that it has to go back to the original message of Jesus. This article is a clear call to theologians to be more aware that our work is beyond any language either sacred or profane, it is rooted in the 'real reality'. Ohne Zweifel ist die Religion nicht das Hauptinteresse der gegenwärtigen Gesellschaft. Auch die Katholische Kirche ist davon betroffen. Doch die Tatsachen scheinen darauf hinzudeuten, dass der Ursprung dieses Problems nicht außerhalb der Kirche liegt, sondern in ihrer Sorge um Machtverlust, im Fehlen von Gläubigen und einer vermeintlichen moralischen Krise zu suchen ist. Weil der Graben zwischen dem christlichen Denken und der heutigen Gesellschaft sehr groß geworden ist, wird der Dialog immer wichtiger. 'Historische Intelligenz' in Analogie zu Xavier Zubiris 'empfindende Intelligenz' als hermeneutisches Mittel wird uns helfen, die Situation tiefgehender zu analysieren und andere mögliche Wege herauszufinden, um im gegenwärtigen globalen Kontext zu sein und zu handeln. Deshalb verlangt diese 'historische Intelligenz' eine tiefe Analyse der Wirklichkeit. Drei wichtige Aspekte der Kirche werden betrachtet: Ihr Diskurs über das 'Profane' und das 'Heilige', ihre sozio-anthropologische Bedeutung als Religion und einige wichtige Elemente ihrer Botschaft. Auf diese Weise werden wir herausarbeiten, dass die Kirche auf die Wirklichkeiten der gegenwärtigen Gesellschaft gegründet sein muss, dass unsere Religion auf die Nöte heutiger Männer und Frauen keine Antwort hat und dass sie stattdessen zur ursprünglichen Botschaft Jesu zurückkehren muss. Dieser Beitrag ist ein klarer Aufruf an die Theologen, stärker darauf zu achten, dass unsere Redeweise jenseits der Rede über das 'Profane' oder das 'Heilige' liegt, sondern in der 'wirklichen Wirklichkeit' wurzelt. |
