Ce dernier reformule le «paradoxe politique» pour centrer la problématique sur l’enjeu consistant, pour le citoyen, à discerner «l’englobant» dans «l’englobé», c’est-à-dire le tout dans la partie, le politique dans la politique. La méditation sur le schématisme métaphorique que propose le second texte apparaît alors comme prolongeant le premier. Elle mobilise la pensée élargie au service de l’imagination politique, qui ravive le sens du bien commun par un agir poétique. Imaginé comme pratique de la fraternité, «l’englobé» qu’est l’agir politique se réoriente en référence à «l’englobant» du vivre-ensemble. Cette lecture par Ricœur de Hannah Arendt, elle-même interprétant Kant, situe la réflexion sur le schématisme menée par ces trois auteurs dans une suite placée sous le signe de la pensée élargie. L’étude souligne cependant ses propres limites, le relais de l’imagination devant être pris par la règle pour que l’État de droit prévale sur la violence. This reflection proposes a reading of Ricœur’s study on «Aesthetic Judgement and Political Judgement according to Hannah Arendt» in the light of the text which immediately precedes it in The Just. The latter reformulates the «political paradox» in order to focus the problematic on the issue which consists for the citizen in discerning «that which engulfs» in «that which is engulfed», i.e. the whole in the part, the political in policy. The meditation on the metaphorical schematism proposed in the second text appears then as an extension of the first. It mobilises broadened thought in the service of the political imagination which revives the meaning of the common good by poetic action. Imagined as a practice of fraternity, the «engulfed» which is political action reorientates itself in reference to «the engulfing» of living together. This reading by Ricœur of Hannah Arendt, who herself is interpreting Kant, situates reflection on schematism carried out by these three authors in a succession characterised by broadened thought. However, the study emphasizes its own limits, the place of the imagination requiring to be taken over by the rule in order for the rule of law to prevail over violence. |
