Abstract :
My paper will present a description of the Neo-Aramaic dialect spoken by the Christians of Ankawa, in the North Eastern Iraqi province of Arbil. I shall focus on some interesting morphological features of the dialect and draw a comparison with other dialects of the area. The material for the paper was gathered firsthand in fieldwork conducted among Ankawa speakers in Sweden, Australia and the United States.
