We describe a case of coronary artery perforation caused by a stiff hydrophilic guidewire during percutaneous coronary intervention. Leakage from patent collaterals continued despite successful embolism of the perforated artery. Although he underwent cardiac surgery, the patient died due to the rupture of a left ventricular pseudoaneurysm. |
