The spiritual life is the place of their history, the movement of their existence, so long as other people – family, friends, carers, teachers – get close enough for them to reveal themselves. So maybe it is really the other, the neighbour, who brings a certain liberty to the life of a handicapped person, so that their spirituality becomes a call to an ethic of transfiguration (Mc 9, 2-10). Behinderte Menschen führen ein spirituelles Leben als Abenteuer menschlicher Freiheit mit allen Dimensionen der Existenz: Körper, Psyche, ethischem Verständnis ihrer Existenz und für manche auch mit religiöser Dimension. Das spirituelle Leben ist der Ort ihrer Geschichte, die Bewegung ihrer Existenz, solange andere Menschen – Familie, Freunde, Pflegekräfte, Erzieher – ihnen nahe genug kommen können, um sich zu offenbaren. So ist es vielleicht wirklich der andere, der Nächste, der eine gewisse Freiheit im Leben eines Behinderten eröffnet, so dass Spiritualität ein Aufruf zu einer Ethik der Verklärung wird (Mk 9, 2-10). |
