Abstract :
Production of indexes and concordances with tagging of declined or conjugated forms has already made progress in the field of Greek studies. This paper intends to explore the possibility to apply tagging rules to texts written in the ancient Georgian language. In order to be able to produce bilingual tools, aligning a.o. Greek and Georgian forms, the purpose of this paper is to try to apply to the tagging of Georgian forms the same basic rules as those applied to Greek forms, although both languages are drastically different. An examination of all categories of the Georgian language shows that such endeavor is possible, and proves even fruitful in view of bilingual indexes or concordances.
