Even if we look through the different educational options, we always find - and happily - what we can call a 'common knowledge base', namely: courses on biblical, theological, historical, philosophical, ecclesiological, ethical and other topics. But is there anything really new in the theological education and development of adult Catholics? Where are the essential changes? From the point of view of pastoral theology, what qualitative criteria and methods are appropriate for theological education today? Is there today a new kind of education? In our present situation, how can we connect criteria for theological education with the demands of the gospel? This article will first cast a glance at the social and religious context that we live in today. Then it will identify important themes for practical theology. Finally it will make some concrete proposals from a pastoral point of view for a necessary orientation for theological reflection in the world and the church today without providing a pat solution. Fünfzig Jahre nach der Eröffnung des II. Vatikanischen Konzils ist es interessant, aus Sicht der pastoralen Praxis über die Bedeutung der theologischen Ausbildung und Erwachsenenbildung in der Welt von heute zu reflektieren. Wenn wir die verschiedenen Bildungsangebote durchsehen, finden wir immer - und zum Glück - was wir eine 'allgemeine Grundausrüstung' oder 'common knowledge base' nennen könnten, nämlich Kurse zu biblischen, theologischen, historischen, philosophischen, ekklesiologischen, ethischen und anderen Themen. Aber gibt es wirklich etwas Neues in der theologischen Aus- und Fortbildung von erwachsenen Katholiken? Worin bestehen die wesentlichen Änderungen? Welche Qualitätskriterien und Methoden sind heute aus der Sicht der Pastoraltheologie einschlägig für die theologische Ausbildung? Gibt es heute eine andere, neue Art zu glauben? Wie lassen sich angesichts der gegenwärtigen Situation Kriterien für die theologische Ausbildung mit den Anforderungen des Evangeliums verbinden? Im folgenden Artikel wird zunächst ein kurzer Blick auf den sozialen und religiösen Kontext geworfen, in dem wir heute leben. Danach werden wichtige Themen für die praktische Theologie identifiziert. Am Ende werden einige konkrete Vorschläge für die heute aus pastoraler Sicht notwendige Ausrichtung theologischer Reflexion in dieser Welt und in der Kirche gemacht, ohne freilich über Patentlösungen zu verfügen. |
