Los no-musulmanes deben entender que existe una gran brecha entre las creencias y las prácticas de los musulmanes y que el hecho simple de las acciones de los musulmanes no representan necesariamente el Islam. Definir el estatus de la mujer en el mundo musulmán de hoy como ‘islamico’ está tan lejos de la realidad como considerar la posición de las mujeres occidentales de hoy como ‘judeocristianas’. Entendiendo esto, las personas musulmanas y las no-musulmanas deben dialogar para eliminar todos los conceptos erróneos, sospechas y miedos. El Islam debe verse como una religión que mejoró inmensamente el estatus de la mujer y le concedió derechos; es evidente que la mujer musulmana tiene que ser parte activa en la sociedad; es un derecho y un deber como ciudadana y como musulmana. Coexistence is based on the mutual knowledge intra and inter group. This is a fundamental islamic concept for any Muslim. Non-Muslims must understand that there is a large gap between the beliefs and practices of the Muslims. The actions of the Muslims do not necessarily represent the Islam. Defining the status of women in the Muslim world als ‘Islamic’ is so far away from reality as considering the position of Western women today als ‘Judaeo-christian’. Understanding this, the Muslim people and non-Muslim people should engage in a dialogue to eliminate all the misconceptions, suspicions and fears. Islam must be seen as a religion that has improved immensely the women rights; Muslim women have to be active in their society; it is a right and a duty for them, both as citizens and as Muslims. Koexistenz beruht auf gegenseitigem Sich-Kennen innerhalb einer Gruppe und zwischen Gruppen. Das ist ein fundamentales islamisches Konzept für alle Muslime. Nicht-Muslime müssen verstehen, dass es deutliche Unterschiede gibt zwischen muslimischem Glauben und Praxis. Den Status von Frauen in der muslimischen Welt als ‘islamisch’ zu definieren, ist so weit von der Realität entfernt, wie wenn man die Position von westlichen Frauen heute als 'judäo-christlich' beschreiben würde. Wenn man sich dies bewusst macht, sollten Muslime und Nicht-Muslime in einen Dialog eintreten, um falsche Vorstellungen, Verdächtigungen und Ängste zu beseitigen. Islam muss als eine Religion wahrgenommen werden, die die Rechte der Frauen stark verbessert hat; muslimische Frauen sollen in ihrer Gesellschaft aktiv sein; dies ist ein Recht und eine Pflicht für sie, sowohl als Bürgerinnen als auch als Musliminnen. |
