The legend may be read as 'Abd al-'Azîz b. MDWL? This ruler struck the coin in Istakhr in 61H./680-81 during the second fitna. Questions, nevertheless, surround his identity and political loyalties. La découverte d'un dirham musulman révèle le nom d'un gouverneur auparavant inconnu. On peut lire ce nom comme 'Abd al-'Azîz b. MDWL ?. Ce gouverneur a fait frapper la pièce à Istakhr, en 61H./680-81, à l'époque du deuxième fitna. Les questions de l'identité et des fidélités politiques de ce personnage restent à éclaircir. |
