Using the recent Iranological literature, in particular the Sogdian Dictionary by B.Gharib, I have tried to clarify difficult words and passages of this letter written to Dhewashtich, the ruler of Panjikent, by a sympathetic Arab official and to put forward new arguments regarding the purpose of the letter and its historical context. La lecture et l'interprétation du document sogdien 1.I. trouvé au Mont Mugh pose encore beaucoup de problèmes quarante ans après ses premières publications. Utilisant la littérature iranistique récente, notamment le dictionnaire sogdien de B.Gharib, on a essayé d'illuminer les mots et passages obscurs de cette lettre écrit au Dhewashtich, prince de Pendjikent, par un fonctionnaire Arabe sympathisant. Des réflexions en sont tirées quant au message général de la lettre et quant à son contexte historique. |
