Sa datation et sa provenance – une nécropole thinite – sont proposées d’après une analyse de ses caractéristiques intrinsèques. Plus précisément, le monument est attribué à un célèbre atelier de l’époque hérakléopolitaine que l’on appelle le «groupe polychrome». Le propriétaire du monument, le ḥ3ty-' Nfr-tb-3w, est figuré ici avec sa femme Ibi et deux officiants. Un groupe d’offrandes et une inscription biographique conventionnelle accompagnent la scène. L’article offre un état de la question pour maintes particularités épigraphiques et prosopographiques. Publication of a stele of the First Intermediate Period known on the art market. Its dating and its origin – a thinite necropolis – are proposed according to the analysis of its internal features. Precisely, we attribute the monument to a well-known workshop of the Herakleopolitan Period, namely the 'Polychrome Group'. The owner of the monument, the ḥ3ty-' Nfr-tb-3w, is represented here with his wife Ibi and two offering figures. The offerings and a conventional biographic inscription complete the scene. In the article, overview of epigraphic and prosopographic items is given. |
