Abstract :
The article deals with political propaganda, aimed at the Greeks, which the Persians practiced in their struggle against Alexander the Great. The author clarifies the goals, contents and forms of propaganda as well as the time of the beginning of such an activity of the Persians against the Macedonian king. The attention is also paid to the results of the Persian propagandistic work amongst the Greeks and the reasons for its failure.
