Abstract :

The present case reports an acromegalic 38-year-old female patient who developed fatal congestive heart failure after surgery with an infarct-like ECG pattern. No pre-existing cardiovascular disease was present. Autopsy diagnosis revealed eosinophilic myocarditis. Ranitidine and cephalosporin-antibiotics are considered as potential causal agents. Despite high dose of glucocorticoids before surgery, the eosinophilic myocarditis was fatal for the patient.
