Its theological imagination accompanies cultural diversity and religious plurality, which shape and characterize Asian theological audacity. Insofar as the biblical narrative is seen in light of the living voice of God (God’s speech event), its narrative can be reconfigured and reinterpreted in terms of critical reflection on the Western theological system while engaging in an Asian theory of interpretation in conversation with religious outsiders. In this paper we will introduce several models of Asian contextual theology and explore the Asian theory of interpretation in view of an emerging irregular theology. |
