Muscarella suggests an alternative chronology for the Iron Age site of Muweilah in the United Arab Emirates. In this paper we explore the basis for this reappraisal and conclude that not only is it not based on an analysis of relevant archaeological data but that it takes no account of the numerous C 14 dates from Muweilah and other Iron Age II sites in south-eastern Arabia. |
