Smith discusses in his introduction for example the important subject of semiotic aspects in relation to literary onomastics. In the following first part I describe the position of names in literature as fiction compared to names in reality. Part two points out, that nevertheless literary onomastics is to be defined as a subdiscipline of onomastics. This can be seen in the problem of „meaning“, but also with regard to the functions of literary names, which are partially similar to the functions of names in reality. In the third part the fundamental problem of translating names is discussed. Finally the continental-European articles are shortly presented. Après l’introduction de mon coéditeur Grant W. Smith, qui par example s’occupe des aspects sémiotiques importants, la première partie traite l’état spécial des noms littéraires fictifs en face des noms dans la réalité. La deuxième partie explique que l’onomastique littéraire est une subdiscipline de l’onomastique générale. Ceci se manifeste au problème fondamental de la „signification“ des noms en comparaison avec la „signification“ des appellatifs. De même les fonctions des noms littéraires ne ressemblent que partiellement aux fonctions des noms réels. La troisième partie s’occupe du sujet important de la traduction des noms. À la fin les articles continental-européens sont brèvement présentés. Nach der Einleitung meines Mitherausgebers Grant W. Smith, der unter anderem wichtige semiotische Aspekte in die Diskussion über literarische Namen einbringt, wird im ersten Teil der besondere Status der Namen in der Literatur gegenüber den Namen in der Realität als Fiktion beschrieben. Gleichwohl ist die literarische Onomastik als Subdisziplin der allgemeinen Onomastik zu definieren. Das wird in Teil 2 am grundsätzlichen Problem der „Bedeutung“ der Namen im Vergleich mit derjenigen der Appellative aufgezeigt und auch an den Funktionen der literarischen Namen, die nur teilweise mit den Funktionen der realen Namen übereinstimmen oder ähnlich sind. Teil 3 ist dem wesentlichen Problem der Übersetzbarkeit der Namen gewidmet. Schließlich werden die kontinental-europäischen Beiträge kurz vorgestellt. |
