Abstract :
Acute myocardial infarction is rare in women of childbearing age, especially in the absence of common risk factors1.
We describe the case of a 38-year-old multiparous woman with anterior myocardial infarction treated with thrombolysis, followed by percutaneous coronary angioplasty.
The patient developed transient heart failure within the first week. The rest of the follow-up was uneventful with delivery by caesarian section of a healthy baby at 36 weeks.
We reviewed the literature concerning the physiopathological background of myocardial infarction during pregnancy, its epidemiology and management.
