First of all it is a question of making students -and society in general- aware of the amount and complexity of names and of their significance as linguistic and cultural phenomena. It is also important to stress the market value of onomastics, both its interdisciplinary character and its value as a discipline per se. The availability of textbooks has increased over the years, but still it should be an aim to develop up-to-date teaching material, also by taking advantage of Internet resources. Finally it is of great importance to motivate students at different levels to engage themselves in the study of onomastics. The recruitment of young scholars is a precondition for future research and development of the discipline. L’enseignement de l’onomastique est une tâche complexe et constitue un défi important. D’abord, il s’agit d’amener les étudiants –et la société en général– à prendre conscience de l’énorme quantité de tous les noms propres, de leur complexité et de leur signification comme phénomène linguistique et culturel. Il est également important de mettre en relief la valeur de l’onomastique, tant par son caractère interdisciplinaire que par sa valeur intrinsèque. Le nombre de manuels disponibles sur le sujet a augmenté au cours des dernières années, mais il importe de développer et mettre à jour un matériel adéquat, notamment en utilisant les ressources d’Internet. En outre, il est important d’amener les étudiants de différents niveaux à s’intéresser aux recherches onomastiques. Le recrutement de jeunes chercheurs constitue une condition pour le développement de la discipline. Der Unterricht von Namen ist eine herausfordernde Aufgabe. Erstens geht es darum, die Studenten – und die Gesellschaft überhaupt – auf die Komplexität der Namen und deren Bedeutung als sprachliche und kulturelle Phänomene aufmerksam zu machen. Es ist auch wichtig, den Marktwert der Namenforschung zu betonen, sowohl ihren querfachlichen Charakter als eine eigene Disziplin. Über die Jahre sind immer mehr Lehrbücher zugänglich geworden, es ist aber noch ein Ziel, aufdatierte Unterrichtsmittel zu erstellen, auch beim Nutzen der Internetressourcen. Zum Schluss ist es auch von großer Bedeutung, dass die Studenten auf unterschiedlichen Niveaus für das Namenstudium motiviert werden. Der Nachwuchs durch jugendliche Forscher ist eine Voraussetzung für eine künftige Entwicklung der Disziplin. |
