Dans l’espoir de pouvoir dépasser cet exclusivisme ecclésiologique et sacramentel orthodoxe, on retourne à l’article The Limits of the Church, publié en 1933 par le grand théologien russe Georges Florovsky. Après une présentation du contenu de cette étude, on s’efforce d’en montrer les ouvertures et les potentialités en vue d’une relance du dialogue catholique-orthodoxe. The Catholic-Orthodox dialogue seems to be at a standstill. For at least a few Orthodox (Byzantine) Churches it is not self-evident that the Catholic Church is also the Church of Christ and that her sacraments are valid. In the hope of going beyond this exclusivist ecclesiological point of view, the author returns to an article by the great Russian theologian George Florovsky The Limits of the Church. After having presented the contents of the article, the author tries to demonstrate its openings and potentialities in view of restarting the Catholic-Orthodox dialogue. |
